Welcome to Circuit Fever (https://circuitfever.com). We built this site to share VLSI and electronics engineering knowledge, not to harvest data. This policy explains the very limited ways we handle your information.
1. Our Privacy First Data Philosophy
Unlike many modern websites, we follow a principle of Data Minimization.
- No Passive Tracking: We do not personally log your IP address, your browser fingerprint, or your physical location when you read our articles and tutorials.
- No Third-Party Trackers: We do not use invisible tracking pixels, web beacons, or intrusive marketing scripts designed to follow your activity across other websites.
- No Behavioral Analytics: We do not use Analytics platforms to track how you move through our site. We use Google Search Console solely to monitor our search engine performance; this tool does not track individual visitors or use cookies on our website.
- Essential Cookies: We use technical session cookies strictly for core site functionality. These are necessary to keep you securely logged in as you move between pages and protect our website from abuse.
2. Information You Voluntarily Provide
The only personal data we ever hold is what you explicitly give us to participate in our community:
- Account Registration: To comment or like a post, you must create an account. We store your chosen name, username, and email address.
- Social Login (Google Connect): If you use Google to sign in, we receive your name, email, and a unique ID from Google. We use this only to manage your account and display your profile picture next to your comments.
3. Ethical Data Usage: No AI & No Sales
Your data belongs to you. We have established strict boundaries on how it is used:
- Human-Only Content: We do not feed your comments, account details, or technical contributions into Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Large Language Models (LLMs). Your insights are for other humans to learn from, not for machines to process.
- No Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address or account data to third parties. Ever.
4. Advertising & Cookies (Google AdSense)
To keep our tutorials free, we show ads via Google AdSense.
- Third-Party Cookies: Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this site and others.
- Personalized Ads: You can choose to opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous).
- Consent: We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals and provide a consent banner for users in regions like the EU (GDPR) to manage their ad preferences.
5. Public Content Warning
When you post a comment on a tutorial, that text is public. While we prohibit AI companies from scraping our site in our Terms of Service, anything posted publicly is visible to the world. We strongly advise you not to include private details (like your phone number or email or home address) in your comments.
6. Minors
Circuit Fever is designed for students and professionals. In compliance with global privacy laws, we do not allow account registration for children under the age of 13. If we discover an account belongs to someone under 13, it will be deleted immediately.
7. Your Rights & Data Control
You are in total control of your data:
- Access & Correction: You can view and edit your profile info at any time through your account settings.
- Deletion: If you want your account and all associated data deleted, email us at hello@circuitfever.com, and we will wipe it from our database within 30 days.
